Your new role

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Manager Engineering to lead and execute small to medium-sized biopharmaceutical projects at our Amsterdam manufacturing site. The role involves managing projects from definition to handover, ensuring they meet safety, quality, capital, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the entire project lifecycle for equipment, facilities, and utilities CapEx projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and present proposals.
  • Develop and implement project plans, guiding multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee construction and technical activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure projects align with organizational and industry standards.
  • Lead risk analysis and continuous improvement processes.
  • Deliver project presentations to stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering or Technology.
  • 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience in relevant industries (Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device/Chemical/Food/Semiconductor).
  • Preferred certifications: CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE II.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with GAMP validation model and ASTM E2500.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and negotiation skills.

What you'll get in return

Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary (€79,840 - €89,820) and your travel expenses are covered.
