Your new role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated associate specialist to work in their team (7 people). The position focusses on biological QC assays regarding technical coordination of remediation and troubleshooting. This includes data/trend analysis and design of hypothesis testing for the QC laboratories. The role also includes (technical coordination of) optimisation and validation of biological QC tests (i.e. for antigen/vaccine batch release). Examples of biological QC tests in scope are immunoassays (i.e. ELISA), PCR and cell culture/virus titration.
Your Responsibilities
As an ATS-Bio Inline Support Associate Specialist, your key tasks and responsibilities are:
· Troubleshooting and improvement of biological QC tests, by data analysis and design of hypothesis testing
· Development and/or optimisation of biological QC tests
· Technical coordination of validation of biological QC tests and qualification of biomaterials (e.g. coating antibodies, standards)
· Plan and execute experiments and evaluate results
· Report all laboratory activities in a clear, organised manner, in the form of reports and standard operating procedures.
· Present technical reports to relevant stakeholders
· Perform project-related literature searches
What you’ll need to succeed
· Bachelor of Applied Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Molecular Biology or HBO/HLO
· Experience in biological assay performance, preferably remediation, troubleshooting, validation and transfer of biological QC tests
· Experience in laboratory techniques such as ELISA, AlphaLISA, Luminex, protein purification, cell culture, virus titration, PCR, microbiological techniques, haemagglutination and/or immunofluorescence
· Experience with Minitab/Aera data analysis is preferred
· Experience with working under GLP and GMP requirements is preferred
· Able to work independently and in a team
· Able to focus and prioritise between multiple projects
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team
· Proficient in English, both speaking and writing
