The department of Animal Health is located at the Boxmeer site. There they develop new medicines specifically for animals. Your new role
As an Operations Manager, you are entrusted with significant responsibilities right from the start. For example, you will directly lead a group of about 15–20 operators, and you will be responsible for the output of these teams. The teams you manage facilitate other departments, such as blending and filling. Communication is therefore very important. As an Operational Manager, you play a central role in the department, coordinating various activities and driving the team towards greater success. You will get the right guidance from senior management so that you can be successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Management and support of operators and associated people management activities.
• Coordination with planners and fellow managers regarding all activities that influence production planning.
• Ensuring customer orders are delivered on the agreed dates at the lowest possible cost, with a continuous emphasis on complete and timely fulfilment
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of the current processes in terms of technology, quality and safety in collaboration with supporting disciplines inside and outside the department.
• Ensuring and maintaining unambiguous quality procedures in collaboration with colleagues.
• Monitoring and initiating data administration and steering improvements based on data-derived performance indicators.
What you’ll need to succeed
• At least complete HBO education, preferably in a Technical, Pharmaceutical or Business direction.
• Several years of managerial work experience, may also be in another industry.
• Preferably experience with good manufacturing practice (GMP), problem-solving and leading improvement projects with demonstrable results.
• Good verbal and written skills in Dutch and English.
• The ability to learn new tools and methodologies, to be applied in practice and to be taught to others.
• A strong self-reflective ability and the ability to convert this into personal improvement actions.
• Ability to give direction and direction to a group of employees and to coach them towards increasing independence.
• Able to set priorities and to be able to make the right decision even under time pressure.
What you’ll get in return
This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, you will get a competitive salary (€42700 – €63300) and your travel expenses are covered.
