Lab Technician II

Your new role
Lab Technicians work with complex systems or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories. This role requires adherence to quality methods, GMP guidelines, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical tests: Conduct mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories.
  • Prepare materials and equipment: Ensure all necessary materials and equipment are ready for experiments.
  • Design experiments: Create simple experimental designs under supervision.
  • Conduct trials: Perform trial productions and standard tests.
  • Manage data: Combine data, make calculations, and present results in a clear format.
  • Maintain records: Keep detailed lab journals and document all work performed.
  • Monitor experiments: Be alert to differences in experiments, testing, and provisions.
  • Operate equipment: Ensure the proper running of laboratory equipment and detect any failures.
  • Support lab operations: Order products, manage equipment, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Work direction: Operate with moderate supervision, demonstrating skill and knowledge in the position.

What you’ll need to succeed
You have completed MLO level 4 or HLO in Biotechnology, microbiology or similar. Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with knowledge of GMP guidelines within the pharmaceutical industry. You are proactive, decisive, critical and stress-resistant. You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English.

What you’ll get in return
This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, you will get a competitive salary (2850–4750) and your travel expenses are covered.
