In Oss, there are two large production sites that were formerly known as Organon. The first location, Biotech Operations, produces novel biologic active ingredients (“drug substance”). Their activities are split between USP (cell culturing/microbiology in bioreactors up to 22,000 litres) and DSP (filtration and purification of product). The other location, Pharmaceutical Operations, focusses on the production, packaging and distribution of various end products (tablets and injectables) and birth control products.

Your new role

Under the direction of the Team Lead Particle Size Analysis, you will participate in a variety of different global projects, with the focus on particle size analysis, as agreed with sponsors and customers on requesting functions and in alignment with the leadership team. You identify and solve a range of problems in various situations; analyse possible solutions and assess each using standard procedures. You are accountable for technical contribution to a project team or subteam, and you may manage/lead a small project team. This role concerns an operational, lab focused position executing a wide variety of analyses, method development and reporting mainly using laser diffraction, and optical- and electron microscopy (SEM).

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (solid state) chemistry, chemical technology or a related field with experience in particle size analysis by laser diffraction or automated imaging. You enjoy lab work and have a desire to continue to develop and master different particle-size related techniques. You’re familiar with scientific/ technical writing and comfortable using MS Office with excellent communication skills in English. Unfortunately, Hays cannot provide sponsorship for this position.

Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 9 months through Hays. In this position, you will get a competitive salary (€3400 - €4375) and your travel expenses are covered.
