Your new job
In this role, you will ensure the cost-effective and GDP-compliant supply of Amgen products to international customers, both internal and external. You will support the management of Transportation Service Providers, focusing on improving operational and tactical transportation performance using key performance indicators for the Global Supply Hub. Your responsibilities include maintaining transportation-related performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, planning and managing distribution lanes, and ensuring compliance through close collaboration with the Quality department. You will also maintain operational relationships with transportation service providers, participate as a Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects, and implement transportation process changes in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, you will work on building and running Good Distribution Practices.
You will work under general direction, guided by departmental objectives and assignments. You will refer to established policies and precedents as needed, set project timeframes and priorities, and escalate problems when necessary. Your outputs will include ensuring a reliable supply, maintaining a GDP-compliant distribution model, managing relationships with supply chain partners, and advancing departmental goals and key initiatives.

Your profile
You should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, business, or economics, with at least 3 years of related professional experience. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is essential. You should have a working knowledge of GMP regulations and GDP requirements, proficiency in MS Office, and experience with ERP systems. Experience in working across various cultures, quick process understanding, problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to handle conflicting interests, proactive behaviour, and strong reporting skills are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include a willingness to travel up to 10%.
Key competencies for this role include strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and technical writing abilities, the capacity to analyse problems by gathering relevant information, identifying cause and effect relationships, and determining appropriate solutions. You should be a proactive self-starter with strong relational, negotiating, and persuasion skills, capable of planning and organising tasks to achieve objectives. Effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and cultures, are also important.
