Your new role
In their commercial organisation in Europe, we are looking for a great colleague to join them as HR manager. In this role, you are responsible for development and deployment of Human Resource Strategy for commercial Europe by working closely with business in order to support the overall vision of the global commercial and global HR function. You will be responsible for The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Austria and Poland (approximately 200-300 sales employees).
The role is responsible for driving people pillars, designing key strategies for talent management, enhancing leadership capabilities for succession planning, and partnering with leaders to optimise organisational structure, roles, and responsibilities for improved efficiency and effectiveness and building a highly engaging and high-performance culture.
The role is also responsible for ensuring governance through a code of conduct and ensuring compliance across respective geographies under this role. To follow global HR trends, cultural nuances, and local regulations, as well to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the globe.
In this role you will report to the Head of Commercial HR.
What are the responsibilities?
- HR BUSINESS PARTNERING: Collaborate with Senior Leaders to understand business objectives and develop targeted HR solutions. Responsible for providing best-in-class HR experience to all internal customers i.e. employees of the commercial function, through execution of all HR practices and policies, and partnering with the business to aid in achievement of organisational objectives. Maintain strong individual connections and regular contact points with all employees from the assigned business.
- DRIVE BUSINESS OUTCOMES: Develop and implement a geography / region wide human resource strategy that aligns with the global HR vision and its current and long-term business objectives to achieve business growth,
- ANALYTICS AND INSIGHTS: Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and measure HR initiatives' effectiveness, which helps in driving people-related initiatives across zones, regions and country clusters.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: Consult and advise HR BP's and HR Support staff on all employer-employee relationships in the organisation and ensure that they are conducted in a way that reflects the organisation's values and complies with regulations, laws, and the organisation's policies and standards.
- HR POLICY DEPLOYMENT: Ensure all activities and programs related to human resources are implemented in accordance with the organisation's human resource strategy. These include recruitment; training; compensation/remuneration; benefits; performance evaluation; organisational development; wellness; human resources administration; employee communications.
- TEAM MANAGEMENT: Lead and develop a team of HR Professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
- 8+ years of experience with a background in managing HR in a fast-paced industry, within an international and matrix organisation.
- Knowledge of Dutch and English (both oral and written). Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Strong business acumen, change management skills, and problem-solving orientation, negotiation skills, and communication skills to interact with employees and leaders.
- At least available for 40 hours a week and the flexibility to travel once a month to one of the mentioned European countries and at least twice a month to their other location in Enschede (they do not offer a company car, but you will receive an allowance for your business travel costs).
- Had exposure to a Sales-driven business environment and good grasp of all functional areas of HR including Talent Management, Performance Management, Labour Law, Organisational Design, Change management, Employee Engagement within a multinational setting.
