Your new role
We are looking for a QC Technician Sample Management whose responsibility will lie in handling quality control samples coming from manufacturing. You will ensure support of high quality for QC and operations while ensuring compliance of protocols, GXP and safety regulations. This role requires a high level of proficiency and ownership of the process, with the highest skill of aseptic techniques and precision.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Receiving QC samples and EM plates.
  • Processing QC samples (Centrifuge, aliquot by pipetting).
  • Distribution of QC samples to QC labs.
  • Ship samples off site for testing.
  • Develop, revise and review procedures.
  • Perform inventory management of lab supplies and materials.
  • Housekeeping of sample management area.
  • Performing routine maintenance of lab equipment and lab areas.
  • Perform supporting assays such as incubation of EM samples and particle isolation.
  • Perform other duties as required, such as escalating deviations and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • MLO/MBO, preferable level 3/4 in a life science related field or a similar level of education.
  • Preferably 1–3 years relevant working experience in a pharmaceutical environment under GMP regulations.
  • Experience in sample management, sample shipment, LIMS, investigations is considered a plus.
  • Working knowledge of GMP, GDP and SOPs is desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will have a hands-on, can-do mentality and is not afraid to get stuck into the role. Strong communication skills and appreciate the value of a team environment.
  • Verbal and written level of English must be at a high working standard.
  • Must be flexible in availability, i.e. working in shifts (morning, day, evening) and weekends in rotation. There is a shift allowance provided in compensation for irregular working.

What you’ll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, there is a gross annual salary of €45900 excluding shift allowance and your travel expenses are covered.
