Your new role

Reporting to the Deputy Group CFO, you will be responsible for setting up, managing and continuously improving the supporting services of the HR division in the Headquarters and the client group. In other words; Kyocera Document Solution Europe Management headquarters (KDEM) and its Sales Companies across the EMEA Group (KDEM-G).
Your goal is to guarantee excellent and future-proof working circumstances for the KDEM-G colleagues so that they can excel in their work. You are the strategic business partner, counsellor and coach for top management, both in the Headquarters and in the KDEM group (KDEM-G). The European HR Manager (official job title: General Manager HR) proactively provides support, shares opportunities for improvements, indicates risks in the organisation and provides directions for solutions where needed. In addition, you can set up strategic plans aligned with overall business objectives and can objectively show the value of the actions taken in either improvement of efficiency, employee satisfaction and/or cost savings. You are a catalyst for change and can inspire and motivate our employees.

Main Responsibilities
  • Is end responsible for setting up and maintaining departments that provide excellent daily support to the KDEM colleagues, contributing to their work, growth and happiness.
  • Manages the execution of the yearly departmental strategy to successful completion by inspiring and facilitating team members
  • Creates and controls the yearly financial planning and controls the budget during the fiscal year both in monthly and yearly reporting
  • Continuously investigates opportunities for improvement in the responsible areas to create efficient and effective teams, work processes and technology fitting the needs of the organisation
  • Continuously investigates and shares opportunities for improvement within KDEM HQ
  • Acts on indicated opportunities for improvements in the Sales Companies, both on HR-related topics and other items that require attention from HQ
  • Is trustee for HR management in KDEM-G and safeguards the independence of local HR when this is at risk.
  • Is managing transformation processes in both the responsible teams and in the organisation, taking care of proper project management, stakeholder management and financial management.
  • Is continuously looking for group synergies in the responsible departments and also indicates possible synergies in other departments if possible.
  • Acts as a mediator in managing top management conflicts and acts as a motivator and facilitator to encourage effective collaborations collaboration at top management level in both KDEM as KDEM-G
  • Acts as an advisor and coach towards the manager of HR as well as acting as an advisor and coach towards top management both in HQ and in KDEM-G
  • Is facilitating top management in cascading KDEM’s strategic outlook toward the lower levels of the organisation to ensure maximum alignment and clarity
  • Is the primary contact person for Japanese Headquarter HR and ensures to build a fruitful relationship, that global HR activities are deployed in Europe, that these are monitored and to streamline the processes between both headquarters.
  • Is the end responsible for the successful execution of all projects in the HR department

What you'll need to succeed

You are an energetic leader with thorough people management experience who possesses excellent communication and leadership skills. You can manage, initiate and execute change projects (both within KDEM HQ and KDEM-G). You are respectful of different cultures and beliefs, and strive for equality for your employees. You are the type of person that is straightforward but respectful, and you have a high level of integrity. Respectfully challenging the status quo is a core competency needed. You have excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills. You will further describe yourself as someone who can motivate and influence others, both formally and informally. And someone who can bring people together and motivate and empower them to work together to build a successful organisation.

Your Skills & Education
  • Educated at Master level and at least 8 years of experience in a senior managerial HR role
  • International HR experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Cultural sensitivity and knowing how to adjust to differences
  • Change management experience
  • Stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Experience in managing long-term projects with a significant financial impact
  • People management skills and experience
  • Influencing skills
  • Excellent overall communication skills
  • Able to keep oversight and set priorities
